Benjamin Deblicker, the LFP’s Head of International Sponsorship, was honoured in the sales category of the third edition of the Leaders Under 40 awards, held in London on October 3.
Held as part of Leaders Week, which is taking place in London between October 2 and 6, the Leaders Under 40 Awards were created by Leaders and Aspire Academy to reward the visionaries who are carving out the future of the sports industry.
Over the course of a nine-month process, in-depth research was carried out to identify the people contributing to the promotion of the sports industry. To uncover thee talents and put the limelight on their potential, more than 60 international judges participated in a vote in five categories: leadership, digital, marketing, communication and sales.
For the first time in the awards’ three editions, a prize was awarded to a Frenchman. On Tuesday, October 4, with London’s Natural history Museum as the backdrop, the LFP’s Head of International Sponsorship Benjamin Deblicker was handed the prize in the sales category for his sale of the naming rights for the LFP’s three leagues: Ligue 1 Conforama, Domino’s Ligue 2 and Orange e-Ligue1.
Thanks to the work of Benjamin Deblicker and his team, the LFP became the first institution in France to conclude three naming rights deals in the space of the last 18 months.
Concerning the Orange e-Ligue 1, over and above the naming agreement, Benjamin was a key actor in the conception of the first virtual football competition, which the LFP launched last season in partnership with EA – a first in the e-sport domain.
